The first working session highlighted bilateral relations with Turkey. The government member met with the Turkish ambassador accredited to the country, Volkan Oskiper, who was accompanied by Rabia Gökçen Mert Korkmaz, recently installed in her functions as commercial advisor. At the heart of the discussions was the upcoming Turkish-Cameroonian economic meeting, scheduled for October in Ankara. Desired by the Ankara authorities, this initiative must serve as a business bridge for economic operators of the two nations, with the declared ambition of giving a new impetus to bilateral trade flows.

The agricultural sector then monopolized attention during the second audience, which brought together the minister and a delegation from the IDH organization (The Sustainable Trade Initiative), led by its country director. The talks focused on a recently initiated program by the NGO for the benefit of actors in the cocoa value chain, the central objective being to secure the direct impact of actions on production conditions and producers' incomes. The emissaries wished to salute the determining role played by the ministerial department in the organization and valorization of this key sector of the national economy.

The third diplomatic step led the ministerial authority to receive Anna Westerholm, ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden. This contact fits within the continuity of friendly relations uniting Yaoundé and Stockholm, while highlighting the common will to broaden economic bridges, whether it concerns productive investments or industrial partnerships, by leveraging the complementarities of the two economies.

Finally, the last interview focused on integration and sub-regional cooperation through a Gabonese delegation led by Christian Gaillard Obame, general director of AMSAJ Group. The exchanges prepared the ground for the holding of the next Business Africa International Forum, which will take place from November 25 to 27, 2026 at the Palais des Congrès of Libreville – Omar Bongo Ondimba. This high-level exchange platform will bring together public decision-makers and investors, with the involvement of Cameroonian business circles being particularly solicited given the strategic weight of the national economy in the region.
