The analytical report defended by the general management, under the leadership of Pr. Rose Ngono Mballa, highlights an intensification of laboratory tests. The technical services recorded the receipt of 1,270 batches of goods, leading to the completion of scientific expertise on 901 shipments, representing a technical completion rate of 70.94%.
The acceleration of operational rhythms stems from the modernization of infrastructure, marked by the transfer of the technical platform from the old Messa site to the new administrative complex of Mballa 2. The installation of new state-of-the-art equipment and fire safety devices has optimized the processing of flows. Surveillance campaigns conducted in major urban centers such as Douala, Yaoundé, Ebolowa, Maroua, Ngaoundéré, and Bafoussam have resulted in the seizure and fine analysis of 200 product samples in circulation, strengthening consumer protection against counterfeiting risks.
The significant leap forward concerns the segment of related substances, which has major economic implications for the local industry. Budgetary statistics indicate the registration of 445 batches of various products (foodstuffs, cosmetics, toiletries, and soaps), representing a volume four times higher than the 98 batches recorded during the 2024 fiscal year. This progress stems from the implementation of a partnership agreement formalized with the Ministry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy, and Crafts. The joint program for standardizing national artisanal transformations provides local entrepreneurs with the required certifications to substitute local productions for imports effectively.
