Equatorial Guinea: Starlink Obtains Temporary Authorization on Offshore Oil Platforms
The Equatoguinean government is easing telecommunications regulations to benefit the oil industry at sea. The temporary authorization signed on July 28, 2026, by the Minister of Telecommunications, Honorato Evita Oma, and transmitted to the Minister of Hydrocarbons, Antonio Oburu Ondo, during a ceremony chaired by Vice President Nguema Obiang Mangue, allows the deployment of Starlink services.
