This partnership, piloted by the leaders of the two organizations, aims to strengthen the traceability of flows from the very first kilometer of harvest through the deployment of geolocation tools for farms and RFID tag identification devices, while supporting agricultural entrepreneurship and agronomic research.

The work carried out at the fermentation and processing center in Ntui, in the Centre region, constitutes one of the operational extensions of this agreement.


By rigorously overseeing the post-harvest process to preserve the integrity and typicity of batches, this approach echoes the growing demands of destination markets, foremost among them the European Union. As the imminent enforcement of strict regulations on imported deforestation requires operators to establish the certified origin of their supplies, mastery of traceability data and parcel mapping proves imperative to secure national exports, historically oriented toward the European market.

Beyond logistical and environmental imperatives, the partnership aims to refine the evaluation of the organoleptic characteristics of local beans.

This scientific research axis contributes to documenting the dossier for recognition of Cameroonian cocoa in the fine or aromatic category within specialized international bodies.


If the concrete economic scope of this collaboration remains contingent on the effective expansion of its coverage among farmers and the interoperability of data with national regulatory platforms, it illustrates the mobilization of value chain actors to adapt the productive apparatus to the qualitative demands of the global economy.
