Placed under the patronage of the Ministry of Water and Energy, with the support of several ministerial departments, employers' organizations, and decentralized local authorities, this business platform aims to position Cameroon as the regional hub for solar technologies. The event expects to attract more than 1,500 participants and 100 exhibitors across 5,000 square meters of exhibition space dedicated to off-grid solutions, mini-grids, and industrial installations.
The roadmap for this edition broadens its scope by integrating, alongside solar and smart storage, emerging themes such as electric mobility and agrivoltaics. The strategic challenge is to connect project developers from the agro-industry, healthcare, hospitality, and public services sectors with international equipment suppliers and funders seeking bankable assets.
Through targeted matchmaking sessions and technical workshops, the proceedings will aim to accelerate the deployment of private capital to meet the power continuity needs of local SMEs.
By promoting technology transfer and the structuring of tailored financing, the fair aims to reduce the reliance of production units on backup fossil fuels, whose cost weighs on operational profitability. For the government and regional financial stakeholders, the development of large-scale photovoltaics offers the opportunity to improve the rural electrification rate, secure power supply for industrial zones, and align national infrastructure policies with ecological transition standards.
