This performance, equivalent to turnover, is accompanied by a remarkable dynamic in net profitability, with the institution's net profit amounting to 41.7 billion FCFA, representing a 23.5% increase compared to the first half of the previous year. Gross operating results follow the same upward trend, reaching 49.4 billion FCFA.
Supported by the expansion of its economic interventions, the institution sees its total loan portfolio surpass the 1,328 billion FCFA mark, up from a previous level of 1,246 billion FCFA. In parallel, the dynamic of mobilizing resources from clients proves particularly vigorous, with customer deposits recording a marked acceleration of 23.2% to reach 2,266.5 billion FCFA, illustrating renewed depositor confidence in the brand.
Furthermore, the interim financial statements reveal an increase in the charge related to non-performing loans, which stands at 8.3 billion FCFA, reflecting a rise in provisions compared to prior periods. This strengthening of provisions, consequent to a cleanup phase undertaken during the prior period, does not however undermine the bank's profitable trajectory, which continues to consolidate its fundamentals on the sub-regional financial market.
