Telemetry analyses from FortiGuard Labs position the country as the third subregional hub for botnet networks, recording a colossal volume of 40.5 million botnet incidents over a 12-month period. Furthermore, integrity flaws affect subregional neighbors such as Gabon and the Republic of the Congo, which display respective technical vulnerability rates of 1.9% and 1.5%, compared to 0.6% for Cameroon.

In addition to extortions practiced by clandestine creditors via abusive blocking of phone chips, piracy now targets sovereign structures such as customs or electrical networks.
