The delegation thus introduced consists of three personalities with proven expertise in the fields of development and international financial management. Mr. Jonathan Gatzer Otto joins the team as Deputy Head of Cooperation, following his effective assumption of duties on August 28, 2026, from Berlin, under the auspices of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Trained in social sciences and management, he will oversee the two priority pillars: health, on one hand, and governance, decentralization, peace and social cohesion, on the other, while ensuring interim global coordination of the portfolio in case of absence.

The operational setup is further strengthened by the arrival, on August 11, 2026, of Mr. Christoph Feldkoétter as Resident Director of GIZ in Cameroon, with extended competence covering Chad, the Central African Republic, Gabon and Sao Tome and Principe. Backed by a trajectory marked by similar functions in Madagascar and Iraq until December 2024, as well as a mandate as Special Advisor on Organizational Development for the agency's digitization in Eschborn until July 2026, this expert in forestry and environmental management now pilots technical programs on the ground.

Finally, the financial representation of the German side is embodied by Ms. Verena Le Chuiton, Director of the KfW office in Yaoundé since her installation on August 4, 2026. Coming from the Frankfurt headquarters where she served as Regional Advisor for Cameroon, CEMAC and COMIFAC, this senior official of the German development bank brings her experience in negotiations and monitoring of major projects to the service of investments in the environment, rural development, social cohesion and management of national parks in sub-Saharan Africa.
