The commercialized volume shows an increase of 21,437 tons in absolute value compared to the 100,564 tons shipped during the same period in 2025, representing a 17.6% jump in relative value.

The expansion of international sales is driven by the operational performance of the French private conglomerate Compagnie fruitière de Marseille. The main subsidiary, Plantations du haut Penja, the national sector leader, recorded deliveries of 86,267 tons by the end of June 2026, compared to 70,857 tons a year earlier, representing an increase of 15,410 tons (+18%). The group's second entity, Compagnie des bananes de Mondoni, crossed a threshold with 14,621 tons exported, compared to 9,336 tons in the first half of 2025, showing a 36.1% increase (+5,285 tons). The integration of the agricultural perimeter of Boh Plantations Plc, whose assets were absorbed in October 2025 after generating 5,592 tons in the first half of 2025, reinforces the Marseille-based group's grip, with a combined contribution representing an increase of 20,695 tons.

In contrast to the private sector's dynamism, the public actor Cameroon Development Corporation is struggling to regain its cruising speed. The state-owned company, the country's second-largest employer after the public administration, exported 21,113 tons of bananas in the first half of 2026, marking a modest 3.5% increase (+742 tons) compared to the 20,371 tons of the previous period. The monthly volume for June 2026 fell back to 3,085 tons, the lowest level recorded since the beginning of the year. The aftermath of socio-political clashes in the South-West region continues to hinder the financial recovery of the public agro-industry. Nevertheless, the sector's overall trajectory maintains a high fiscal and commercial contribution, after a 2025 fiscal year in which banana sales generated 67.7 billion FCFA in revenue for the nation, up 84.7%.
