The deliberations of this body enabled the examination and approval of dossiers submitted by the executive heads of Adamawa, North-West, West, South-West, and South regions. These projects concern the acquisition of cutting-edge computer equipment intended for the setup of smart classrooms within their respective territories.


This initiative aligns directly with a government strategy led by the Ministry of Secondary Education, benefiting from the synergies of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC). The selected technological solution comes from the British company Promethean, recognized as a global leader in educational technologies.


In total, the overall amount of support granted exceeds 3.3 billion FCFA, representing an equitable share of nearly 678 million FCFA allocated to each beneficiary local authority for this large-scale phase.

Constituting the second step of a national plan aimed at gradually expanding to all ten regions of the country, this investment reflects the public authorities' will to democratize access to digital learning tools.


By combining budgetary decentralization and pedagogical transformation, the mechanism enables local authorities to play a driving role in implementing reforms aimed at enhancing the quality of Cameroon's education system.
