In this publicly released balance sheet, Commercial Bank-Cameroon (CBC) claims to have disbursed an amount of 524.5 billion FCFA in direct loans by the end of July 2026, contributing to raising the institution's total balance sheet to 872.04 billion FCFA.

These loan envelopes thus absorb nearly 60.1% of the assets recorded in the bank's books. A marked predominance of short-term maturities emerges from the portfolio analysis, with the short term concentrating 71.6% of the total outstanding, or 375.6 billion FCFA, far ahead of medium-term interventions set at 107.38 billion and long-term commitments limited to 41.53 billion.

The broadening of the institution's overall financial exposure further integrates debtor accounts and leasing credit operations, pushing the total accounting commitments to customers beyond 587 billion FCFA. Faced with these massive uses, the mobilization of resources collected from depositors stands at 527.19 billion FCFA, encompassing sight deposits, savings accounts, term accounts, and debt securities.

This arithmetic configuration highlights a close correspondence between the volumes distributed and the liquidities entrusted by customers, structurally supplemented by interbank refinancing amounting to approximately 217.28 billion FCFA.

The bank's institutional solidity also relies on permanent resources amounting to 65.48 billion FCFA, comprising a paid-up capital of 24.03 billion as well as accumulated reserves. In parallel, the guarantee and surety activity deployed by the institution stands at a high level, with over 225 billion FCFA in signature commitments granted in favor of its clientele. Although these provisional data do not yet allow isolating the impact of credit risk cost or measuring the annual evolution of margins, they reflect CBC's constant involvement in supporting national economic operators.
