Banking Sector: Access Bank Cameroon Wins Best Digital Bank Award
The Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026 ceremony has recognized the institution as the best digital bank for individuals in the local financial market, marking the first international distinction obtained by the entity since the inauguration of its branches in May 2022.

The award acknowledges the deployment of remote transactional platforms, including the AccessMore mobile application and the PrimusPlus portal, designed to handle financial flows for individuals and businesses from connected terminals.
The growth of digital operations is based on technical agreements with major telecommunications players, Orange Money and MTN Mobile Money. The operational synergy has facilitated the issuance of over 100,000 virtual Mastercard cards linked to electronic wallets, enabling cross-border purchases on e-commerce platforms. The bank has also put into circulation over 50,000 prepaid Mastercard cards for travel, education, and everyday expenses.
The strengthening of digital channels responds to the requirements of financial inclusion and support for the diaspora. International money transfer systems facilitate the connection of expatriate citizens to the national banking network. The institution combines the digitization of retail products with direct support for small economic structures, reserving financial mentoring and networking programs for women-led businesses through the dedicated "W" initiative.
