On site, nearly a hundred stalls offer consumers a diverse range of products, providing a concrete alternative to traditional commercial circuits. This joint initiative by the administration and economic partners aims to combine the imperative of supporting purchasing power with the serene preparation for the back-to-school season.

Mobilized around this citizen action, economic operators are able to display substantial discounts, ranging from 5% to 30% on textbooks and educational accessories.

The same logic applies to food. A 25 kg bag of Thai rice is offered at 10,000 FCFA, compared to the usual 13,000 FCFA. A 50 kg bag of Pakistani rice, 100% broken, is priced at 13,500 FCFA, down from 18,500 FCFA on the traditional market. And as a surprise, Thai 100% broken rice is available at 13,200 FCFA instead of the usual 19,000 FCFA. Boneless beef is displayed at 3,000 FCFA per kilogram, and bone-in beef at 2,700 FCFA.

The involvement of partner companies in this device demonstrates the viability of an economic model centered on social responsibility and household support. Testimonies from parents of students present on-site highlight the immediate impact of these savings on family budget organization.

Specifically highlighted at the heart of the stalls, national production occupies a place of choice thanks to the presentation of locally processed goods, particularly cassava flour-based products. This orientation reflects the constant will of public authorities to promote "Made in Cameroon", while fighting dependence on imports.
