The award decision, dated June 9, 2026, and made public on June 17, 2026, by the Public Procurement Regulatory Agency, validates an amount of 2,359 billion FCFA, including all taxes, for a 16-month execution schedule. The retained budget shows a discount of 25.64 million FCFA compared to the initial estimate of 2,385 billion FCFA. To this amount is added a contract for project management assistance awarded on May 6, 2026, to Parlym Cameroon for 113.96 million FCFA over 14 months, bringing the documented commitment to 2,473 billion FCFA.

The installation of the new tank is expected to increase the overall storage capacity for light fuels from 5,540 m³ to 8,540 m³, representing a theoretical expansion of 54.2% of the volume of liquid fuels. The site currently has 1,410 m³ of super, 1,960 m³ of lamp oil, and 2,170 m³ of gasoil, excluding reserves dedicated to aviation kerosene (1,420 m³) and heavy fuel oil (950 m³). The future equipment will concentrate 35.3% of the depot's total white product volume after its commissioning.

The expansion is accompanied by projects to strengthen liquefied petroleum gas stocks, where current installations of 95 tonnes could reach 345 tonnes with the addition of a 250-tonne tank valued at 2,743 billion FCFA, or 595 tonnes according to site orientations suggesting a 500-tonne reservoir. The increase in volumes aims to improve the supply of markets in Adamaoua, the North, and the East, while reducing the vulnerability of the distribution chain to transportation hazards and dependence on firewood in households.
