The financial recovery erases the 33.3% contraction suffered in 2024, following the realignment of pump prices decided by the public authorities, and repositions the public company on a trajectory close to its 2023 performance.
The financial upturn stems from an expansion of the operational activity base. The consolidated turnover stands at 29.01 billion FCFA, compared to 26.8 billion FCFA a year earlier, while the overall balance sheet shows a total of 122.46 billion FCFA. The equity stabilizes at 43.95 billion FCFA, consolidating the financial structure of the public entity, which, in addition to its storage missions, ensures the collection of the Special Tax on Petroleum Products on behalf of the Treasury. The return to balance puts an end to the logistical tensions born from the slowdown in gasoil and super imports, and the supply constraints that had heavily weighed on the company's accounts during the market restructuring.
The company's shareholders took advantage of the presentation of the accounts to outline the medium-term investment projects. The guidelines given to the management team prescribe the acceleration of the modernization of storage infrastructure to protect the country against fuel shortage risks. The extension of the retention tank capacities and the strengthening of the industrial security devices of the storage sites constitute the immediate budgetary priorities. The optimization of internal governance should enable the operator to secure its role as a guarantor of the national energy reserve, essential for supporting overall economic activity and stabilizing prices across the Cameroonian territory.
