Launched on November 14, 2024, the software engineering project aims for a final delivery on October 14, 2026. The new digital tool replaces the old Cargo software to automate the management of port calls, road traffic planning, billing, and electronic collection of dues from consignees and shipping agents.

Since July 3, 2026, real-world testing has shown a first activity report, accounting for the processing of 53 port calls, the registration of 26 manifests, and the issuance of 26 operating invoices. The interconnection of the Information Systems Department with the operational departments (RDR, DEX, DCAP, DFC) foreshadows the opening of a centralized digital portal for the entire Douala-Bonaberi maritime community.

The technological shift aims to impose international standards of transparency, reduce the docking times of ships, and secure the collection of port financial resources. The instruction given by the general management requires the rapid certification of key professions within each structure to optimize the use of the platform. The digital transformation reinforces the position of the naval infrastructure in regional logistics competition, ensuring the fluidity of Cameroonian external trade.
