According to decisions by the Public Procurement Regulation Agency, made public in September 2026, the consortium formed by ITGStore and MTN Cameroon has been selected for the acquisition, installation, and commissioning of wireless local area network and software-driven networking (WLAN/SD-WAN) infrastructure. With a total value of 1.377 billion FCFA TTC, this award covers the six main airport platforms across the territory, namely Douala, Yaoundé-Nsimalen, Garoua, Maroua, Bafoussam, and Ngaoundéré.

This technical setup will be complemented by a second lot dedicated to the deployment of charging stations, awarded to the Central Achat Cameroon and Bercotech consortium for an amount of 260.70 million FCFA TTC, bringing the cumulative value of this equipment phase to over 1.6 billion FCFA. Resulting from an international tender requiring strict technical compliance, the award of these contracts follows the elimination of several competitors and enables the relaunch of a digital component previously deemed lagging behind its initial disbursement objectives by the international financial institution.


While the awarding of the lots represents a notable advancement in addressing the deficit of connected infrastructure in airports, the effective materialization of the works remains contingent upon the signing of definitive contracts and the notification of service orders. Once these administrative procedures are completed, the service providers will have between four and six months to deploy these solutions, which are expected to redefine service and connectivity standards for users and operators of national air transport.
