Led by Africa Bright Securities as arranger and lead manager, alongside law firm Chazai Wamba and a pan-European and sub-regional placement syndicate, the issuance stands out for its broad accessibility. Setting the bond's nominal value at just 1,000 FCFA with a minimum subscription threshold of 50 bonds, or 50,000 FCFA, the institution aims to democratize access to the securities market, offering a gross annual yield of 7.25% over a three-year maturity, including a one-year amortization deferral and a planned listing on the specialized compartment of the BVMAC.

This fundraising aims to fuel a vigorous expansion phase of the institution's lending activities, targeting primarily civil servants, private-sector employees, as well as operators in the informal sector and commerce. With a loan portfolio outstanding at 9.76 billion FCFA as of the close of the 2025 fiscal year, the injection of these new resources represents more than half of its current outstanding, enabling it to accelerate penetration into a target of 100,000 potential civil servant beneficiaries. To reassure investors regarding debt service, the operation incorporates strict securitization mechanisms, including the pledging of an operations account domiciled with a partner banking institution and funded by dedicated monthly cash flows.

Founded in 2022 following the acquisition of an existing portfolio, Bamboo Microfinance materializes through this foray into the capital markets its transition toward a mature model. Having improved its financial indicators with profitable 2024 and 2025 fiscal years, posting net profits of 94 and 122 million FCFA respectively, the institution combines the expansion of its physical network—now comprising 14 branches—with a sustained digitalization strategy.

The integration of monetization solutions, dedicated mobile applications, and regional interoperability via GIMAC Pay confirms the institution's ambition to establish itself as an indispensable actor in financial inclusion and retail lending within the community space.
