The first instrument, called PYRAMID BROWSER, is a downloadable browser for Windows and Mac computers via the project's official portal, utilizing the open-source Chromium engine optimized for fast loading in low-bandwidth areas. The second application, PYRAMID MAIL, accessible from its dedicated website, offers an encrypted email service ensuring the conservation of servers and computer files in Cameroon. The messaging service is aimed at the 300,000 small and medium-sized enterprises in the national economic fabric, as well as liberal professions and public institutions seeking to secure their institutional correspondence under personalized domain names.
The relocation of hosting infrastructure guarantees the confidentiality of information flows in the face of American global network giants. The use of tools optimized for local bandwidth reduces mobile data consumption for users in secondary cities. The provision of national platforms preserves foreign exchange by avoiding the payment of software subscriptions abroad.
The adoption of local computer solutions strengthens the independence of the sub-regional digital ecosystem. The integration of verified news resources within the browser promotes the visibility of content produced in Cameroon. The control of storage servers protects the financial heritage of national economic players.
