This alliance gives rise to the DIGIT4HER program, a device designed to bridge socio-economic and digital gender disparities by providing privileged access to cutting-edge training delivered through the Orange Digital Centers network.
The program prioritizes over 200 young women in situations of vulnerability or who have prematurely left the school system, distributed across three strategic regional hubs: Buea, Dschang, and Ngaoundéré. The curriculum offers a holistic approach combining fundamental computer skills training, financial education, personal development, and entrepreneurship concepts.
Beyond in-person learning time, support extends through a personalized mentoring device designed to secure participants' professional integration, whether they aim to secure direct employment or materialize a sustainable business creation project.
The leaders of the two partner entities emphasize the systemic scope of this collaboration. For Fatim Cissé, General Director of IHS Cameroon and Côte d'Ivoire, building robust communication networks must imperatively be accompanied by skills transmission to ensure digital equity. A commitment shared by Dr. Patrick Benon, General Director of Orange Cameroon, who recalls the ambition of the structures to democratize access to technological knowledge, reveal new talents, and support female entrepreneurial boldness on the path to financial independence. Through this synergy, the two groups demonstrate that corporate social responsibility constitutes a powerful engine to energize the local economic fabric and broaden the country's productive skills base.
