This large-scale achievement, completed in a record time of 90 days by the company CFHEC, materializes the introduction of a pioneering technology in Cameroon: geosynthetic-reinforced embankment.

Culminating at a height of 34.5 meters and backed by a hydraulic structure of the culvert type, as well as a sophisticated water capture device, this cutting-edge work demonstrates the ability of engineers to master local geological complexities while ensuring lasting user safety.

Beyond the construction performance, the success of this project lies in the cross-fertilization of an innovative multidisciplinary approach. The chosen solution is the direct result of an organic collaboration between the executive, the technicians of the specialized group associating Debaker, Huesker and Geo Geosynthetics, the control bureau ECTA BTP and the researchers of the University of Dschang. The analyses recorded in the White Paper produced by the academic milieu on the nature of soils and the stability of massifs provided the indispensable scientific compass to consolidate engineering choices. This communion between fundamental research and the art of building opens major perspectives for valorizing local intelligence in the design of future infrastructure projects.

This operational rigor dynamic was immediately extended to another vital axis of the Republic, National Road N°5, where a meticulous inspection allowed emergency measures to be halted on the section linking Douala to the Nkam Bridge.

While awaiting the disbursement of international financing necessary for the definitive rehabilitation of the link connecting the coast to the western highlands, the teams have validated a pragmatic technical option consisting of scarifying and recycling the pavement materials to consolidate critical zones. Through these targeted interventions that combine geotechnical resilience and a sense of anticipation, the public authorities confirm their determination to immunize the transport network against logistical ruptures and to secure the backbone of national commercial exchanges.
