Valued by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at $15 million (approximately 8.8 billion CFA francs), this investment would sit at the heart of a 25-hectare agro-industrial complex integrating laboratories, storage infrastructure, and experimental farms. Commercial partners for nearly a decade, the two entities intend to gradually substitute domestic production for massive imports of organic amendments formulated in Southeast Asia. TMG International, already listed on the official register of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Minader) for the distribution of Rhyzobium Polyvalent and Bio Stimulant A-C-G formulas, is leveraging its foothold in national public procurement markets for agropastoral supply to drive the project's territorial component.
The projected business model relies on processing locally sourced inputs and organic matter to supply farms in Cameroon and the wider regional subcontinent. For the Indonesian firm, creating a processing hub in Central Africa addresses the challenge of maritime freight cost and lead times, with current rotations between Indonesian ports and Cameroonian terminals spanning 50 to 60 days of transit. The establishment of the 25-hectare industrial complex is expected to shorten supply cycles while preserving the freshness and biological efficiency of biofertilizers. Local control of the manufacturing process provides a strategic hedge against the volatility of international synthetic fertilizer prices and maritime transport inflation.
While the indicative envelope of 8.8 billion CFA francs outlines the perimeter of the industrial ambition, the partners have not yet disclosed the final structure of the capital table or the timeline for awarding the complex's construction contract. The project's realization remains contingent on the completion of environmental impact studies, site selection, and technology transfer agreements.
