The analysis of the device's durability is based on the financial balance between the revenue collected from the population and the maintenance costs of the installations. The photovoltaic booth will serve as a laboratory to evaluate the profitability of a kilowatt-hour energy sales model, the management of payment collection, and the eventual renewal of accumulator equipment. The approach aims to go beyond previous solar public lighting initiatives deployed in the region to establish a truly autonomous network capable of supporting community economic activities while ensuring the traceability of financial flows.

The initiative is part of a broader effort to raise capital for the operator's global deployment. On July 1, 2026, the company's management entrusted General Bank of Cameroon with a financial arrangement mandate to secure a 60 billion FCFA envelope. The funds are targeting the modernization of the national network's production, transportation, and marketing infrastructure. Although the Bertoua experiment remains distinct from this massive investment program, the chairman of the board, Antoine Ntsimi, emphasizes the need to validate the operational profitability and financial governance of the pilot before planning to replicate the model in other municipalities in the country.
