The Keda Group, listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, illustrates this dynamic with the official launch of construction work on a third production line (K3) at its Kribi complex, announced in October 2026 by its subsidiary Tefu International (48.45%-owned with management control). This additional project will add a nominal potential of 13.4 million square meters per year to the existing production facility, based on a rate of 40,000 square meters per day over 335 operational days.

Upon completion of the works, the total capacity of the plant operated by Keda Cameroon Ceramics will rise from 20.1 million to 33.5 million square meters annually, a quantitative leap of nearly 67%.

This extension follows the results recorded in 2025 by the K1 and K2 lines (10.05 million square meters each). During their first full year of operation, the site produced 21.21 million square meters, up 139.1% from the 8.87 million square meters in 2024, generating primary revenue of 700.89 million yuan (approximately 58.7 billion CFA francs), compared to 14.4 billion CFA francs a year earlier.

The addition of K3 will enable the expansion of the catalog toward specialized ranges, including wall covering tiles, glazed tiles, and high wear-resistant tiles.

Supply will cover all six markets of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC), encompassing Gabon, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Chad, and the Central African Republic alongside Cameroon.

By locating in the immediate vicinity of the deep-water port complex, the manufacturer secures its intra-regional export channels. The investment thus strengthens the Kribi manufacturing hub, while creating new direct and induced job opportunities for the local economic basin during and after construction.
